Chris Korman oversees The Baltimore Banner's sports coverage. He has covered the NFL, college athletics, horse racing, sports business and baseball as a reporter, columnist. podcaster and editor. He has written and edited longform stories on a wide range of topics, including a football player dealing with traumatic brain injury, the struggle of minor league baseball players to keep playing despite below minimum wage pay, the greatest American lumberjack, the culture of gun competitions and a gay rugby club inspired by one of the men who died on 9/11. He previously worked at USA Today's For The Win and The Baltimore Sun and is a graduate of Penn State and the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University. A Pennsylvania native, he nevertheless learned to pick crabs as a kid (his dad was from Baltimore). He now lives in Cockeysville with his wife and three children.
