Shan Wallace

Using visual imagery to tell stories, document, and reflect the versatility of Baltimoreans — politically, socially, truthfully, and imaginatively — in order to help articulate the voices of the community and prioritize care and attentiveness. As an image maker, Shan's life’s work, voice, and process is constantly shaped by collaboration with the people she photographs, her sitters, and subjectivity, so it’s continually adapting. It was in Baltimore where she learned about the importance of service, the power of collaboration and the effects of social change.
