A 48-year-old Baltimore County man is charged with attempted murder stemming from a shooting on Interstate 95 in Howard County in mid-August.

Maryland State Police said Quwan Gordon of Owings Mills was charged Friday with shooting at the driver of another car on I-95 on Aug. 12. Troopers said the shooting happened during a road rage incident that led to a dispute. No one in the car was injured during the incident, state police said.

Investigators identified and found a white Volkswagen involved in the incident and traced it to Gordon, troopers said.

A search of Gordon’s Owings Mills home and of the car turned up suspected MDMA, fentanyl and a loaded handgun, troopers said. Gordon is prohibited from possessing firearms based on prior felony convictions, troopers said.

Gordon was arrested on gun and drug violation charges stemming from the Aug. 13 search.

State Police said further investigation linked Gordon and his car to the I-95 shooting incident but did not give details.

Prosecutors charged Gordon with attempted murder and use of a gun in the commission of a felony. He is being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center. Online jail records did not list an attorney for Gordon.
