Baltimore County Police have arrested a suspect in the fatal stabbing of a 31-year-old woman in Catonsville early Sunday.

Shortly after 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence in the 5600 block of Wilkens Avenue, police said in a news release.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police said 29-year-old Brianna Jarrells was charged with first-degree murder in the woman’s death. She was being held without bond in the Baltimore County Detention Center.

“This was an isolated incident involving subjects who were known to each other,” police said in the news release.
