Howard County Police have identified a woman who was killed in a two-vehicle hit-and-run collision over the weekend as 29-year-old Zulma Maginelly Zepeda Barrientos of Odenton.
At 9:30 p.m. Friday, Barrientos was crossing the 6200 block of Washington Boulevard in Elkridge when she was struck by a vehicle traveling south, police said in a news release. She was then hit again by another vehicle traveling north on the same stretch of road.
The victim was not in the crosswalk at the time of the collision, police said. Barrientos was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither vehicle stopped, but police said Monday they had located both vehicles. The first vehicle that hit Barrientos was a 2019 Nissan Rogue, and the second was a 2015 Toyota RAV4, police spokesman Seth Hoffman said in an email.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information to contact PFC White at 410-313-6220.
