A motorcyclist died early Saturday morning after hitting a truck in Laurel.
Howard County Police said the motorcycle rider, a man whose name was not immediately released, was headed north on Washington Boulevard just past Lynn Buff Court at around 4:10 a.m. when a truck turned left onto southbound Washington Boulevard.
The motorcycle, a 2021 Suzuki GSX-S750, hit the truck, police said. The rider, who was alone on the bike, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are investigating the crash, which caused the road to close for about 3 1/2 hours.
The driver of the truck was uninjured, police said.
