The lineup for The Baltimore Banner’s second-annual iMPACT Maryland event continues to grow weeks before the leadership conference.

Orioles owner David Rubenstein, Gov. Wes Moore, First Lady Dawn Flythe Moore, Johns Hopkins University President Ron Daniels, Emmy Award-winning poet Kondwani Fidel and Angela Alsobrooks, the Democratic Senate candidate and Prince George’s County executive, are among the confirmed participants in the one-day event that will take place Oct. 1 at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

Former Gov. Larry Hogan, who is running for U.S. Senate on the Republican ticket, has been invited. The race between Alsobrooks and Hogan has garnered national attention as the outcome could determine which party controls the Senate, where Democrats currently hold a slim 51-49 majority.

“Given the national stature of this year’s Senate race, we’re pleased that Angela Alsobrooks will be joining us,” said Sharon Nevins, Executive Director of iMPACT Maryland and The Banner’s chief revenue officer. “We have invited Gov. Hogan and we remain hopeful that he will agree to attend iMPACT Maryland as well.”
