A small, single-engine aircraft crashed Saturday afternoon off the end of the general aviation runway at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, according to airport officials.

The director of communications at BWI, Jonathan Dean, said three people were onboard the aircraft but did not sustain major injuries.

The crash has not impacted airline operations, and the Federal Aviation Administration was notified, according to the official.
