Your mental health and the election
If you’ve been feeling particularly stressed out this fall, you are not alone. According to the American Psychological Association, 7 out of 10 adults report that the elections are a significant source of stress – and that’s across party lines. Republicans, Democrats, and Independents all reported that the elections are a significant stressor, and a big part of that is the uncertainty that Election Day represents. Wrapped up in Election Day are headlines and social posts about the state of our country and how to move it forward, which sometimes conflict with one another depending on political ideology.

Why estate planning without spirituality misses the mark
Estate planning is often seen as a financial process—dividing assets, minimizing taxes, and ensuring that both you and loved ones are financially cared for. Documents such as Wills, Trusts, Financial Powers of Attorney, and Medical Directive are completed, and then they are tucked in a drawer not to be looked at or discussed for years or even decades. While these are important, stopping there misses a vital opportunity to direct your own care as you age and pass on a more meaningful legacy. True legacy goes beyond wealth and documents but rather reflects the values, purpose, and guiding principles that shaped your life.

Gun locks to keep residents safe in Anne Arundel County
The statistics are staggering. According to Everytown for Gun Safety, firearms are the leading cause of death for children and teens in the United States—every year, more than 21,000 children and teens are shot and killed or wounded. Many of these injuries and deaths could have been prevented, as every year, nearly 360 children under the age of 18 unintentionally shoot themselves or someone else, and 4.6 million children in the U.S. live in a home with at least one unlocked and loaded firearm. Self-harm is also a major issue as, according to Everytown for Gun Safety, access to a gun triples the risk of death by suicide. Luckily, for residents of Anne Arundel County, the Department of Health is tackling the issue with an initiative to promote safe storage of firearms—at no cost to residents.

Also, properties for sale listed on databases known as a multiple listing service (MLS) will no longer include an offer of compensation that the seller is offering to buyer’s brokers.
The business of real estate is evolving. Working with a REALTOR®, you can secure a rewarding outcome, whether you’re buying or selling a home.

Marylanders for Transparent Government, Inc. urge the Governor to help prevent foreclosures & establish open & transparent government
Governor Moore recently stated that “solving big problems can’t happen overnight” and Maryland is “leaving too much on the table.” Right now, at least 40,000 residents of Prince George’s County and Baltimore City are facing threats of foreclosure with more in the pipeline. While we applaud the Administration for taking risks to protect renters, we are concerned the State is doing too little, too late, and seeking instead to gaslight even more foreclosures by legalizing zombie mortgage actors.
