Baltimore Musical Improv Championship
What’s better than a musical? An improvised one. Watch two teams at the Baltimore Improv Group “duke it out in the ultimate championship to see which of them is the superior musical improv crew,” according to their website. And the judge of who comes out on top? You, dear audience.
The Baltimore Improv Group puts on shows three times a week. Thursday shows are free.

Candlelight: Featuring Vivaldi’s Four Seasons & More
Listen to the Kennedy String Quartet perform the (literal) classics with a rendition of Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons,” as well as a few other pieces. The concert in the Baltimore Museum of Art’s Meyerhoff Auditorium concert is performed in a mostly darkened theater with an abundance of electric candles on stage, adding to the “multi-sensory musical experience.”

Lunar New Year Celebration: Year of the Snake
The Walters Art Museum is hosting a celebration to welcome the year of the snake. Staff will be leading tours and storytime sessions highlighting works related to the lunar new year, and there will be art-making and letter-writing.

Visitors will also enjoy performances by the Johns Hopkins University Yong Han Lion Dance Troupe, the Baltimore Chinese School and the Korean Culture and Art of Maryland. And they can enjoy free small bites from NiHao, Peabody Heights Brewery and Peter Chang Baltimore from noon to 2 p.m. (or while supplies last).

The mothers are unhinged, Baltimore. Emily Holden, Leah Renee and headliner Nancy Norton are putting on a stand-up comedy show Sunday to talk motherhood, midlife crisis and relationships. The group’s website promises a “fun night out with your girlfriends, drinking club (I mean book club), neighborhood group or your own mom.”

Larissa “Kat” Tracy, a professor of medieval literature and author of several books on the Middle Ages, will lead the talk at Guilford Hall Brewery.

Due to popular demand, comedian Nikki Glaser is adding yet another Baltimore performance to her “Alive and Unwell” tour. The third show will take place April 26 at 9:30 p.m. at The Lyric.

Katy Perry at CFG Bank Arena
Pop star Katy Perry is coming to Baltimore as part of her “The Lifetimes Tour” — her first in seven years. Tickets for the Aug. 15 show at CFG Bank Arena go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
