Fight at Lansdowne High School sends student to hospital

A 15-year-old girl is in the hospital with serous injuries after the was stabbed during a fight at Lansdowne High School on Tuesday afternoon, according to school officials and Baltimore County Police.

The county police officer assigned to Lansdowne High School was alerted to a fight between two teenage girls about 1 p.m. The officer and his supervisor caught the suspect and began helping the victim. The injured student was taken to a hospital. Police did not identify the hospital.

The school was on lockdown between 12:40 and 1:15 p.m., according to a school spokesperson. After-school activities were cancelled.
