Update: The candidates began debating at 2 p.m. ET. Read a recap and watch the debate below.

Maryland’s top two candidates for governor, Republican Dan Cox and Democrat Wes Moore, met Wednesday in their first — and likely only — televised debate at the studios of Maryland Public Television.

Three candidates appearing on the November ballot, Working Class Party nominee Dave Harding, Libertarian Party nominee David Lashar and Green Party nominee Nancy Wallace, have not received at least 10% support in an “established, reliable, nonpartisan poll” and were excluded from the debate, according to MPT.

The debate was moderated by WBAL-TV anchor Jason Newton. Panelists included: Pamela Wood, The Baltimore Banner’s politics reporter; Alexis Taylor, news editor at the AFRO; Tracee Wilkins, reporter at WRC-TV/NBC4 in Washington, D.C.; and Jeff Salkin, anchor at MPT.
