A big girls soccer tournament is ready to unfold at Mercy High School this weekend with eight members of the Baltimore Banner/Girls Soccer Top 15 teams participating in the IAAM Challenge III.
No. 1 McDonogh, No. 2 Archbishop Spalding, No. 5 Broadneck, No. 6 Notre Dame Prep, No. 8 Mercy, No. 11 Perry Hall, No. 14 Hereford and No. 15 St. Paul’s School for Girls will all take part in the event that begins Friday with the Maryvale Prep-Calvert (from Calvert County) match at 5 p.m.
Saturday’s slate features six games, beginning at 9 a.m. to kick off a full day of action that could shake up the rankings that will be unveiled Monday in the Banner.

No. 1 McDonogh vs. Severn, 1:00 p.m.
No. 2 Archbishop Spalding vs. Good Council, 3:00 p.m.
No. 6 Notre Dame Prep vs. No. 11 Perry Hall, 5:00 p.m.
No. 8 Mercy vs. No. 5 Broadneck, 7:00 p.m.
