KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Five Ravens rookies are inactive for Thursday night’s season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Wide receiver Devontez Walker, cornerback T.J. Tampa, center Nick Samac and safety Beau Brade are healthy scratches. Outside linebacker Adisa Isaac was ruled out of the game with a hamstring injury. Running back Rasheen Ali was removed from the active roster when he was placed on injured reserve earlier Thursday with a neck injury.
Defensive lineman Brent Urban and offensive lineman Sala Aumavae-Laulu are also inactive. Urban played in all 17 games last season, starting three, and had a career-high three sacks. With Urban sidelined, the Ravens have just four interior linemen available: Nnamdi Madubuike, Travis Jones, Michael Pierce and Broderick Washington.
The Chiefs will be without former Ravens wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, who was ruled out of the game with a shoulder injury. Offensive linemen Ethan Driskell and CJ Hanson, tight end Peyton Hendershot and defensive lineman Marlon Tuipulotu are also inactive for Kansas City.
