Lamar Jackson and Isaiah Likely got the night off in the Ravens’ preseason opener Friday. They made up for lost time Sunday.
The Ravens quarterback and tight end connected for four big plays in their return to training camp practice, including a long catch-and-run score and another touchdown. Unofficially, Jackson finished 26-for-34 overall, including 8-for-15 in 11-on-11 action and 18-for-19 in seven-on-seven action.
“Isaiah has put together a fantastic training camp,” coach John Harbaugh said after Sunday’s practice. “Another great day. Connected on a bunch of deep balls out there. He’s been spectacular with the route-running details. I feel like the timing has been fantastic with him. He’s just a very special athlete. Comes to work every day ready to go to work, so we’re really proud of him, and we’ll keep going.”
Here’s how Jackson’s day as a passer unfolded, period by period, throw by throw, along with other notes from Sunday’s fully padded practice.

Stock report
- With players back in pads, the pass-rushing one-on-ones had juice. Among the notable wins for the offense: Right tackle Roger Rosengarten handled a power rush from Ojabo easily; guard-tackle Daniel Faalele anchored well on a repetition against defensive lineman Justin Madubuike; left tackle Ronnie Stanley had no problem with an outside rush by outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy or his counter, an inside spin; and guard Andrew Vorhees barely let defensive lineman Michael Pierce get any push in their matchup.
- Among the notable wins for the defense: Lineman Travis Jones walked back undrafted rookie guard Darrian Dalcourt on a bull rush; outside linebacker Odafe Oweh converted an outside speed move into a spin move that sent Rosengarten sprawling; Madubuike and Oweh beat Vorhees and Rosengarten in a two-on-two rep, with Oweh setting up Madubuike to loop around the right side for the win.
- Quarterback Josh Johnson connected with tight end Qadir ismail for a touchdown down the seam. Later, he gave wide receiver Sean Ryan a chance on a jump ball down the right sideline that he brought in over cornerback Marlon Humphrey.
- After leading the Ravens in tackles against the Eagles, inside linebacker Trenton Simpson dialed back the physicality — but only slightly. He blew up running back Owen Wright along the left sideline after quarterback Devin Leary’s short throw in 11-on-11 action led him into trouble. Wright held on for the catch and jogged back to his teammates.
- Henry got the crowd revved up with a couple of runs into the second level.
