The Ravens spent part of Wednesday’s practice going through the motions at half-speed. They spent the other part working on boom-or-bust scenarios at full speed, from third-and-longs to big blitz looks.
Quarterback Lamar Jackson mostly went boom. Unofficially, he missed just one pass in competitive team drills, finishing 12-for-12 in 11-on-11 action and 7-for-8 in seven-on-seven action. Jackson was lethal in the red zone, finishing with four touchdowns, and bold pushing the ball downfield.
“That was important to see,” coach John Harbaugh said of the offense’s overall execution. “And it was good to see the ball was coming out quick and executing like we need to against that pressure. That’s a big step for us. I thought the guys did a great job with that.”
Here’s how Jackson’s day as a passer unfolded, period by period, throw by throw.

13. Another deep completion from Jackson, who found Likely on a crossing pattern, threading the ball between safety Marcus Williams and Stephens.
14. With the defense showing a “Cover 0” pressure before the snap, Jackson looked again for Wallace, who ran a quick out against rookie cornerback Nate Wiggins and made a comfortable grab.
15. Jackson ended the period with some good fortune, as a pass deflected at the line of scrimmage fluttered safely to Washington. Safety Ar’Darius Washington couldn’t do much in coverage.
