The Ravens’ AFC North showdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers could kick off Saturday without two of the NFL’s best downfield receiving threats.

Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman, who has a career-high 654 receiving yards this season and is sixth in the NFL in yards per catch (17.2), is considered questionable after missing Thursday’s practice with a left foot injury. Steelers wideout George Pickens, who leads the team in receiving yards (850) and is 12th in the league in yards per catch (15.5), was ruled out with a hamstring injury.

The Ravens are already down two potential contributors at wide receiver. Nelson Agohlor, who’s sixth on the team in receiving yards (231), was ruled out of Saturday’s game on Friday because of a concussion that sidelined him in practice all week. And Diontae Johnson had already been excused from team activities this week. He was suspended for Sunday’s win over the New York Giants because of his refusal to enter the Ravens’ Week 13 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to general manager Eric DeCosta.

Bateman came into the week healthy but was limited in Wednesday’s practice, indicating that he hurt his foot during the workout. In the locker room after Thursday’s practice, Bateman was wearing a walking boot on his left foot. Bateman missed much of the 2022 season with a Lisfranc injury that required surgery on that foot. He’s also dealt with a minor knee injury this year.

Coach John Harbaugh declined to comment on Bateman’s status after Thursday’s practice. The Ravens need to win at M&T Bank Stadium to keep their hopes alive of winning the AFC North.

“We’ll be working through all of those [health] things in the next few hours and few days, even, but we’ll be in good shape and be ready to roll,” Harbaugh said.

Right guard Daniel Faalele (knee), who’s played every offensive snap this season, and outside linebacker Odafe Oweh (ankle), who’s second on the Ravens in sacks (eight), are also questionable for Saturday’s game. Both were estimated to be limited participants in Thursday’s walk-through practice. Faalele took part in all three sessions this week, while Oweh missed Wednesday’s.

The Ravens activated rookie cornerback T.J. Tampa (ankle) off injured reserve Thursday, clearing the way for the fourth-round pick to play Saturday. He hasn’t been active since Week 7 and has contributed primarily on special teams in his four appearances this season.

Cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis (hamstring), however, was ruled out of Saturday’s game after missing every practice this week.

In Pittsburgh, Pickens was ruled out for the second straight game after missing the week of practice. He had a game-high eight catches for 89 yards in the Steelers’ Week 11 win over the Ravens. Pittsburgh’s offense has been one of the worst in the NFL when he’s off the field, according to TruMedia.

Pickens could also be limited or unavailable Wednesday against the Kansas City Chiefs, a game that would loom large in the Ravens’ pursuit of an AFC North title if they win Saturday.

Star outside linebacker T.J. Watt (ankle), who’s third in the NFL in sacks (11.5), was not listed on the Steelers’ injury report Thursday and will play Saturday. He was a full participant in Thursday’s practice.

Backup quarterback Justin Fields, who had two carries for 17 yards against the Ravens, was ruled out with an abdominal injury he suffered against Philadelphia.

Starting safety DeShon Elliott (hamstring), who started his career in Baltimore and had a fumble recovery in Week 11, has been ruled out after missing most of the week of practice. Starting defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi (groin) and starting cornerback Donte Jackson (back) are questionable after limited participation.
