Hip-hop and R&B legend Missy Elliott will rock CFG Bank Arena Aug. 1 for her “Out of this World” tour.
The recent Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee who is known for her catchy lyrics and singing ability, will be joined by rapper Busta Rhymes and R&B singer Ciara. This 24-city tour is the first time that Elliott will headline a tour.
CFG Bank Arena has booked a slew of top-tier acts this year, including Nicki Minaj, who performed there on April 2. Rapper Megan Thee Stallion will also perform at the venue May 28 as part of her “Hot Girl Summer Tour.”
With hits like “Work It,” “Get Your Freak On” and “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly),” Elliott is considered one of the greatest female rappers of all time. She’s also an accomplished songwriter with hits such as “My Love is Like...Wo” by Mya, “If Your Girl Only Knew” and “One in a Million” by Aaliyah. She has also written songs for Monica, Fantasia and Mariah Carey.
Rhymes, whose popular songs climbed the charts in the late ’90s and early 2000s, is best known for “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See,” “Woo Hah!! Got You All in Check,” and “Touch It.”
Ciara, an R&B fixture for decades, appeared in last year’s musical movie, “The Color Purple.” She is married to NFL quarterback Russell Wilson.
General admission tickets for the “Out of this World” tour are available here starting April 12 with pre-sale tickets starting April 11. Can’t snag tickets to her Baltimore show? She’s also performing at D.C.’s Capital One Arena on Aug. 8.
